All Optional Fees are $25, except SUPERMODEL, which is $75.
Contestants have the opportunity to perform a talent presentation, an oratory speech, photogenic, portfolio, scrapbook and/or show off their modeling talent. Theses events will be scored and performed in a separate format than the regular final show and do not contribute to the overall scoring.
TALENT:
Delegates choosing to enter the talent competition must perform a two (2) minute talent routine. This may include, but is not limited to, vocal performance, dancing, cheering, music or the arts.
Judging Criteria: quality of performance, stage presence, artisitc technique and ability.
SPEECH:
The topic for 2010: "How can I make an impact as a role model for teen girls worldwide?"
Delegates choosing to enter the speech competition must memorize and orally recite a 200 word essay for Juniors/Seniors on the topic above. This includes all words (a, an, the, etc.). ANTSO promotes a well spoken and articulate teen. The speech competition is an opportunity for delegates to speak on a topic provided by the National Office. Entrants are scored on articulation, creativity, stage presence and message or content.
PHOTOGENIC: The Photogenic competition is another popular optional event. Entrants may submit as many photos as they wish. There is a $25 charge for the first photo entered and $10 for each additional photo submitted.
PORTFOLIO: In the Portfolio competition, entrants submit 5 pictures that make up a “portfolio”. One overall winner is chosen by the judging panel.
SCRAPBOOK: Entrants provide a scrapbook which they have created. Scrapbooks will be judged on creativity, originality, and personality.
SUPERMODEL: The supermodel competition is one of our most POPULAR optional events. Not only does the high point winner get their beautiful supermodel crown, cash prize, flowers and trophy – she will win a one look photo shoot with Matt Boyd Photograghy, hair and make up by Meredith Boyd and one retouched photo.
NOTE: These competitions have no bearing on the final outcome of the Program, and are judged by a separate panel of judges.
